U.S. Embassy Kigali issued the following Warden Message on August 25:

This Warden Message is to inform U.S. citizens that with back-to-school season upon us, it’s time to think about staying healthy.  The U.S. Government remains concerned about the possibility of a severe influenza pandemic resulting from changes in the 2009-H1N1 virus or emergence of an even newer influenza virus that may affect those abroad.  The U.S. Embassy Kigali will be hosting a panel discussion on August 26^th at 1:00pm for Kigali-based school officials to share with them the most current information on the H1N1 virus.  If you would be interested in attending this event, please send an e-mail to:  consularkigali@state.gov.
